Awards Reception this evening [Twitter!]

Though Saturday's playoff exit still stings, tonight the team, front office and fans will gather to reflect on the positives from 2009 season at the 6th Annual United Awards Reception. The yearly event takes place at the Atlas Performing Arts Center (1333 H St. NE) and a great evening of mixing and mingling is in store.
Here's what the evening looks like:
- 6:30-7:30pm - Registration and Cocktails
- 7:30-8:30pm - Awards Presentation (hosted by Tony Limarzi and Russ Thaler)
- 8:30-9:30pm - Reception
Seven total awards will be given out to United's squad:
- Volkswagen Most Valuable Player
- Defender of the Year
- Fans' Choice Award (as voted on by you!)
- Goal of the Year
- Coaches Award
- US Soccer Foundation/MLS W.O.R.K.S. Humanitarian of the Year
- Budweiser Golden Boot
You can purchase your ticket online until about 2pm today, or if you make a last-minute decision, buy a ticket at the door this evening.
If you absolutely can't make it out, I'll be announcing the award winners via Twitter throughout the presentation.
