Keep your eyes peeled throughout DC today and tomorrow for a 7-foot tall Open Cup trophy. It will be making its way around DC to raise awareness about Wednesday's championship match versus Seattle Sounders FC. If you see it, flag us down for a free t-shirt!

7 ft trophy in a convertable? overcompensating for something?

is the Front Office still begging folks to come out to the game?

T minus 60 hours till we Sounders fans celebrate our 1st trophy.

You're right. We need more bands playing Flo Rida at our matches, that'll fill the seats!

Dc united fans are coming out in full force for this game. Seattle fans have a lot of mouth for someone who hasn't done anything yet. There's more of a chance that we will make it to the playoffs than the sounders, so seattle should worry about the playoffs because they're not taken the us open title from us.

seattle really annoys me. not only should our sports fans comeout in fulll force but the dc players should play with full force as well.

I'm really gonna enjoy not only beating these guys for the cup on Wednesday, but dealing their playoff hopes a fatal blow 2 weeks later.

    blackandred4life - seattle annoys you?

you should be annoyed that no one comes to the DC games.. only 11,000 tickets sold for the US Open cup Final. that's annoying.....and embarrassing!

Instead of a "we win trophies" tour, Mr. Payne should put on the " We're still here" tour. to remind DC that there is still a team in town.

as a bonus to winning the Open Cup, the sounders will play in DC on the 12th.... look for the trophy on our bench.

    hey ad3 -

look at the standings.....keep in mind you are on the outside looking in. if the playoffs end today (which they don't) the sounders are in the playoffs....United is not. only the top 4 wild-card teams are invited. DC is 6th.

it will be a similar view in October.

    Enjoy the offseason!

I'm looking at the standings, buddy, and I see us 2 points behind you with *a game in hand* and we've got a whole mess of home games coming up.

Get ready for a hard dose of expansion team reality.
