Playoff clarity

For weeks, D.C. United fans have followed their club's playoff fate, tracking the Black-and-Red schedule, monitoring other teams in the playoff hunt and mapping out how results might include or rule out United advancing to the 2008 MLS Cup Playoffs. Now, we know.
If United is able to beat the Columbus Crew tomorrow, United will face the Houston Dynamo in the Western, that's right, Western Conference Semifinal Series. The Black-and-Red would host the Dynamo on November 1 before traveling for a return match in the Lonestar State November 9. D.C. United's draw was determined tonight when Kansas City benifited from two red cards dealt to New England in the Wizards' 3-1 win over the Revolution.
Sleep tight United fans. Tomorrow's a big, big day. We'll be back in the morning with all of the pregame info needed to prepare for a season-determining match in Ohio.

"Sleep tight United fans."
Yeah, good luck with that. Road tripping for the boys in 7 hours and I'm a bundle of nerves.
