Champions League Update: Recap

With all of this week’s CONCACAF Champions League matches played, some teams are emerging as the likely candidates to advance to the next round of the region’s most important tournament.
Saprissa could not take the top spot in Group A after United stole a point in Costa Rica last night. The Costa Rican side is now tied with Marathon and Cruz Azul with identical records.
Group B has Pumas UNAM and the Houston Dynamo fighting for the two top spots, while in Group C, Impact de Montreal continued their undefeated run and lead their group with ten points. Group D has the Puerto Rico Islanders and Tauro FC tied in first with Santos Laguna only a point behind.
Here are the updated group standings:
