Video: Moreno's chip

08/21/2008 12:38 AM by Kyle Sheldon

Jaime Moreno is really, really good at soccer.  Here's video of his goal in tonight's 2-1 loss, his ninth of the season and 121st career tally.

Was there at the game. Jaime's goal was amazing!!
Rather bittersweet though; I really thought they'd leave with at least a tie.

I usually put my three year old son to bed around 8:30 PM but he's developing such an interest in soccer that I let him stay up for this game. Of course I had to keep the lanuguage in check after the Revs took the 2-0 lead but we watched Jaime's goal and both of us went nuts after he scored. Watching Jaime Moreno over his DCU career has been awesome and even though he may not fully understand what went down, I was glad to have that moment with my son.

Thought this one would end up a draw as well. Go get 'em Saturday night United!

I was at my local watering hole, which is also a family restaurant, so I too worked hard to keep my language clean but I was quite frustrated with the officiating in the game.

I saw many calls that were not called, that should have been called. But, that's something I can not change. Although I used to ref, in my younger days, I'm always dogging the refs.

I fully expected, after Moreno's amazing goal, DC would have come back. There were a few nice shots that DC was unlucky to have missed.

I also agree with you Bill, it's been a pleasure watching Moreno's career grow and when he moved to NY, I was salty! But he's back now and the love affair continues. He is absolutly amazing when he has the ball at his feet.

Fortunately, I was not in a position where I had to watch my language. I very much took advantage of this fact during this loss.
