Video: Fred's goal

For those of you who didn't watch the game tonight, you'll have to take my word for it - Fred was absolutely dicing Fire players on the flank tonight. He made several players look plain silly with his quick, slick, sick moves. He also scored his second goal of the year. Here it is.

The announcers last night were explaining that the Chicago defense is not a joke because they've only allowed like 16 goals this season... maybe they need to re-think that statement considering NO ONE WAS COVERING FRED. Way to go DC! Way to own Chicago in the face!

So true. However, how could anyone cover Fred last night? At one point he was in the Fire's corner fighting for a shot, then a few seconds later he's in our corner defending a shot on our goal. He was freaking amazing!! I'm so glad to see the "real" Fred back, I missed him :-)

That was amazing. Easily the most wide open a player has been on a set piece. And it's not like Fred had a marker and shook him off to be open, he never had a marker to begin with!
Fred deserved a goal for all he did, and was unlucky to not get another when he hit the post.
Big win for United.

You see Fred planned this all along. Slack off during corners three quarters of the season... then when the team needs it and he is left unmarked due to his original consistency to do nothing... Strike where it hurts!! I never celebrated a goal so much especially when it was against Chicago. Im glad McBride got his MLS debut shattered against DCU. VAMOS UNITED!

Goal Of the Week possibility?

Wonderful job by the whole team. Great to see them preserve the 1-0 lead through to the end of the game. Great saves by Crayton in the 35th and 44th minute. I think it was Mctavish who cleared out what would have been a sure goal as well.

Those Chicago announcers were complete homers. It was pretty disgusting listening to them.
That was the worst corner kick defense I've ever seen. Way to capitalize Fred!

I don't like that media player you guys used. It doesn't work on the iPhone (youtube stuff does though!)

Thanks for the comment, Spence. That's the League-run media player, called QuickKicks.
