United General Manager Dave Kasper just informed us that Ryan Cordeiro has been upgraded from the developmental roster to a senior developmental spot.
The rookie midfielder was selected by the Black-and-Red in the third round (33rd overall) of the 2008 MLS SuperDraft. He made his MLS first team debut in United's 3-1 loss to Chivas USA on May 17, starting and playing the full 90 minutes at left mid. He has also played every minute of the team's three reserve games, notching a goal and an assist.
Cordeiro came to United after four years at the University of Connecticut, serving as co-captain during his senior season and helping the team to a 20-3-1 record.

Isn't "senior developmental spot" a bit of an oxymoron? Congrats to Ryan on earning the extra $4800.
