MLS Classic: 2004 Eastern Conference Final

05/27/2008 8:15 PM by Kyle Sheldon

If you've never seen this game, you should find it and watch it immediately. Largely considered to be one of the best games in Major League Soccer history is the 2004 Eastern Conference Final between United and the Revolution, a game that included six goals in regulation and a ridiculous penalty shootout. ESPN has put highlights from the game up in advance of Thursday's contest on ESPN2 (7:30 p.m. ET) and we present them to you here...

People can say what they want about the NY/LA game last year, but this game IS the best MLS game ever.

I was honored to have been there in person, and to witness DC score 3 of the most beautiful goals I've ever seen. It was simply their year.

This was my first game after moving to DC, and it was an absolute classic. I was hooked on DC for good after that.
