ESPN Classics: DCU vs. Chicago 2005

In advance of Thursday's game, ESPN has put up another edition of their MLS Classics - this time, it's United vs. the Fire. This particular 2005 game saw a bunch of goals and a late winner from former D.C. defender Bobby Boswell (.com). The D.C.-Chicago rivalry has turned into a very strong one in recent years, due mostly to the Fire's ability to oust United from the playoffs (something only one other MLS team has ever done). That leaves a bitter taste.

How Thornton didn't get a red card for tackling Moreno, I don't know. If Kreis really wants to vent about the quality of the league's refs, why not start out with that foul. Absolutely ridiculous.

I loved that game... A lot of my favs players in that highlight... Rimando, Gomito, Boswell... STOKES! Great conbination by the two defenders for the game winner...
(personal LN note... I love how they (Gomito/Boswell) show love to La Norte after scorin'... they were one of the few that did.)
